Guerilla marketing gone to far?

We are always trying to think of new ways to break peoples concentration from going about their lives.  Whilst getting my change in the supermarket, i received this coin promoting a gay chat line... is this taking things to far?  Is it effective?  Or is the Royal Family feeling the pinch and simply diversifying?
